Get Ready For A Tumultuous Ride
If you follow politics or just the elections you know we're not riding on a calm lake right now.
Psalm 33:12 says:
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
Proverbs 29:2 says:
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice:
but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
As Christians there is no biblical doubt that we are to seek a righteous ruler;
one whose heart is truly turned to the Lord.
The days ahead are going to be very interesting as the one who thought he had a free ride to the White House finds he has a battle on his hands. And as a great majority of Christians who had very little hope about this election are now feeling energized and empowered because they may end up honestly having a righteous ruler.
Keep your hearts during the days ahead because the chances are you're going to see some ugly things come to the surface. Real tests bring core issues to the surface. People can wear a mask when things are smooth sailing but real character comes out under pressure.
